Why Did You Join the Fort Wayne Trails Board?

I’m an avid user of the trails and wanted to continue to help to expand them across our region.

What Does our Trail System Mean to You?

Having trail access for everyone in Northeast Indiana is vital to help people connect and give us outlets for commuting and exercise. Trails are essential for healthy communities.

How Do You Use the Trails the Most?

I workout a lot over lunch, so I’m often running and riding the Towpath and Rivergreenway from downtown.

What Excites You Most About FWT’s Mission?

The master plan of trails will connect so many areas and locations, making it possible to bike to destinations that just can’t be done safely now. The idea that people in northern Allen county will be able to ride their bikes to the zoo someday is awesome.

What Do You Want People To Know About Fort Wayne Trails?

Trails don’t just happen. While the city of Fort Wayne is instrumental, it takes a dedicated group of people to keep pushing and working to make sure more and more miles keep getting built. Equally important, getting built in areas that can have the greatest impact.


Join us for the 11th Annual Pufferbelly Run, Walk, and Stroll, NOW WITH A VIRTUAL OPTION!

We are excited to announce that after careful consideration, we have determined that we can move forward with the 2020 Pufferbelly Run/Walk/Stroll IN-PERSON. While following the Governors guidelines and CDC recommendations, we will still provide a fun and safe event for all of you. Of course, your safety is paramount and as we get closer to July 18th, if we feel we cannot provide you with a rewarding and safe experience we will make any necessary changes. Keep in mind that in addition to a fun morning on the trails, every registration goes directly to supporting trail growth and development right here in our city. We thank you all for using and supporting Fort Wayne Trails.
