I saw a great value the trail system can provide for the community in both wellness and economic development.
The trails are the connection to the community. You can get to and from friends, shopping , parks, schools and entertainment options all around Fort Wayne. The trails also take you thru many beautiful unseen corridors along our rivers and wooded areas providing for some incredibly peaceful places. The trails are an asset that will be here for all future generations to enjoy.
I put most of my miles on the trails on bike. My favorite an evening ride from downtown out one of the great trails and back followed by refreshments at one of the great restaurants downtown.
The trails have become a destination for people from Fort Wayne and all around. The growth of our system positions us to become one of the best networked trail system in the Midwest leading to improved community wellness and an asset that attracts new investment and talent to our community.
The trails are awesome spaces everyone can enjoy. Walk, run, bike, wheelchair, skateboard, roller-blade whatever means you have, get out and enjoy them.
Join us for the 11th Annual Pufferbelly Run, Walk, and Stroll, NOW WITH A VIRTUAL OPTION!
We are excited to announce that after careful consideration, we have determined that we can move forward with the 2020 Pufferbelly Run/Walk/Stroll IN-PERSON. While following the Governors guidelines and CDC recommendations, we will still provide a fun and safe event for all of you. Of course, your safety is paramount and as we get closer to July 18th, if we feel we cannot provide you with a rewarding and safe experience we will make any necessary changes. Keep in mind that in addition to a fun morning on the trails, every registration goes directly to supporting trail growth and development right here in our city. We thank you all for using and supporting Fort Wayne Trails.
