Project Description
10′ asphalt trail from the west property line of the Allen County Fairgrounds to Lima Road/S3.
Survey work has been ordered. Allen County Highway is currently working to deed right of way to City of Fort Wayne for the trail. Construction funds are currently being discussed between the four entities involved. We will be applying for an Indiana Trails Program Grant with the DNR.
Application has been submitted to the DNR Indiana Trails program for $400,000 grant. Announcement of grant in 2026.
Location control route survey will be complete in July 2026. Design set for 2026 with right of way acquisition in early 2027.
