Project Description
The city was awarded a $1 million Next Level Trails grant from the State of Indiana for this project. Right of way acquisition is complete for this project. Final routing to utilities complete. The city will be adding roadway resurfacing and intersection improvements to the trail project. Bidding complete.
A “meet the contractors” meeting was held in March 2026 and work is underway. The contractor is currently working on one section at a time and started on the west end of the trail. Working is currently happening between Getz and Ansley Dr. From July to September, they expect to be working on the section from Ansley Drive to Thomas Road/Apple Glen.
Completion is set for late 2027.
