Allen County Wins 3 Indiana Greenways Foundation Awards

Trail groups from Allen County, Indiana, were proudly represented at last week’s Trail Celebration in Indianapolis, winning 3 of the 8 presented awards. Hosted annually by the Indiana Greenways Foundation, the luncheon and awards ceremony brings together trail advocates from across the state to celebrate the shared vision of transforming Indiana’s trails into world-class assets. The event honors individuals, businesses, and grassroots organizations whose dedication has made a lasting impact—strengthening local economies, improving public health, and preserving the state’s natural beauty.

We’re proud to share that one of our valued partners, Tricore Logic, has been recognized as this year’s Outstanding Corporation! A longtime supporter of Fort Wayne Trails, Tricore was also the very first title sponsor of our Adopt-A-Greenway program. Many of their team members are active trail users, and they’ve even adopted a section of the trail they help maintain. We’re grateful to have dedicated partners like Tricore right here in Fort Wayne—working alongside us to strengthen and uplift the communities we all call home. Congratulations friends!

We were also joined by long-time trails champion, former board member and chair, Anthony Juliano. Anthony was nominated for the Outstanding Trails Advocate award in recognition of his years of dedicated support for trails right here in Fort Wayne.

And the recognition didn’t end there. The Three Rivers Horse Trails, a local nonprofit, received the Outstanding Trail Project award. In 2024, the organization partnered with Allen County to develop the Allen County Equestrian Course—the county’s first and only trail system dedicated specifically to equestrian use.

Allen County was further represented through Commissioner Richard Beck, who earned the Outstanding Public Official award for his dedication to supporting trails of all kinds. Commissioner Beck has played a key role in numerous trail initiatives, including the Allen County Equestrian Course.

We’re proud to see Allen County’s continued commitment to outdoor recreation and trail development recognized at such a high level. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to making these projects a success—your hard work is truly making a difference. And a special thanks to the Indiana Greenways Foundation for all that you do.
