Legacy can be defined as “an amount of money or property left to someone in a will.” It can also be defined as “something inherited from a predecessor; a heritage.”
As a friend of Fort Wayne Trails, you can leave your legacy for our community by making a planned gift. Your planned gift to Fort Wayne Trails can help ensure the future of our trail system and establish your heritage with future generations.
This October, Fort Wayne Trails will be participating in “Write A Will Week”. During the event, local attorneys will donate their time to prepare no-cost, simple will documents for donors who include a planned gift to a non-profit. Barnes & Thornburg will assist Fort Wayne Trails donors this year.
Many of us have not yet considered planned giving, and this program provides the opportunity to have a simple will prepared. This will ensure that your wishes are honored and your love of trails will continue for generations to come and automatically makes you a member of our exclusive Perpetual Motion Club. There is no minimum gift amount to participate.
If you are interested in a simple no-cost will that will help support Fort Wayne Trails please contact our office to schedule a 30-minute appointment with the attorneys. Appointments are available during these times
- Monday, October 23 from 1:30pm to 5pm.
Please contact our Development Director, William Andreas, at 260-969-0079 or [email protected] to reserve your appointment.
After donors have met with the attorneys, they will visit the Barnes & Thornburg offices to review and sign the completed forms.
Great thanks to our program partner, Barnes & Thornburg LLP for participating this year!
