Write-a-Will Week

A simple way to leave a legacy for trails in our community is to make a planned gift for the future.

During the week of October 19-23,2020,  Fort Wayne Trails will be participating in “Write A Will Week”. During the event, local attorneys will donate their time to prepare no-cost, simple will documents for donors who include a planned gift to a non-profit. Barnes & Thornburg will assist Fort Wayne Trails donors this year.

Many of us have not yet considered planned giving, and this program provides the opportunity to have a simple will prepared. This will ensure that your wishes are honored and your love of trails will continue for generations to come. There is no minimum gift amount to participate.

If you are interested, please call the office to schedule an appointment to meet with the attorneys on October 19th, between 1 pm and 5 pm, or October 21, between 8 am and 11 am. These 30-minute sessions will be held via phone call or Zoom meeting. Please contact Joy Lucas at the office at 969-0079 or [email protected] to reserve your appointment.

After donors have met with the attorneys, they will visit the Barnes & Thornburg offices to review and sign the completed forms.

Great thanks to our program partner, Barnes & Thornburg LLP for participating this year!

Brewed IN the Fort is Fort Wayne Trail’s largest annual fundraiser. At the 2019 event, we were able to raise $23,000 for trails in Allen County. Like so many things this year, Brewed IN the Fort has been
canceled, but not all is lost. One part of this fun festival that we have been able to take virtual is the auction. Please help us raise money for expanding and connecting trails in Fort Wayne and Allen County
by bidding on some amazing food, fun, and experiences. The items are now available for preview and the bidding will kick off 12 Noon on Wednesday and will end 5 pm Sunday.
