Megan McClellan, Executive Director

Megan McClellan became the Executive Director of Fort Wayne Trails, Inc. in the spring of 2019.

She joined Fort Wayne Trails after serving nearly five years as Executive Director for Trails at the Syracuse – Wawasee Park Foundation.

Megan has a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Earlham College in Richmond IN and a Master’s degree in Environmental Policy from Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson, NY. Her master’s thesis focused on the adaptive and cooperative method for managing urban trails. Megan also has a Certificate in Fund Raising Management (CFRM) from the Indiana University Lily School of Philanthropy.

Megan has had the privilege of living in Holland for over two years, as well as Germany and Namibia. She and her husband also served for 27 months as Peace Corps volunteers in Niger, West Africa. These and many other life experiences have taught Megan just how important it is to have free, safe, and accessible paths connecting people to each other and to the world around them. Megan and her family greatly enjoy joining the Trek the Trails rides each summer and walking their dog on the River Greenway all year.

Mo Palmer, Volunteer Coordinator

In the early part of 2023, Mo made the decision to leave a fulfilling career in designing outdoor spaces and managing projects to pursue other endeavors. Those endeavors included learning about and experimenting with regenerative landscapes, and finding a part-time job with an organization that makes our community a better place in which to live. As fortune would have it, at that same time, Fort Wayne Trails was looking to add a part-time volunteer coordinator to their team. Mo joined the Fort Wayne Trails in April of 2023 and brings with her decades of experience as both a volunteer and volunteer leader, and an enthusiasm to be a part of the FWT’s team!
